Cybermage’s Monthly Journal April 2011

Welcome to Cybermage and this look at the month of  April.

I am watching Game of Thrones as I write this. It is an amazing high quality TV adaption. HBO has done it again. True Blood was the first. I wonder if people can keep the many characters appart? I am watching the scene with the dance master and he is just as good as he is in the books and just as endearing. To get a bit more perspective  I also listened to the audiobook, it was pretty good but best book of the month goes to The Kings of Eternity by Eric Brown. It is a wonderful love story with a lot of classic science fiction elements in it by the master of everyday life to a backdrop of great science fiction. He did a similar thing in The Bengali Station stories. Book of the year so far for me.

This month has been a bit more hectic than March and I have been traveling a bit too. Winter just opened the door for spring who will be finished in a week or two. Thats the most peculiar thing with the seasons her in the far north. Spring and autumn are short just a few weeks. But I don’t mind Summer, not even a tiny bit.

I like to mention The View from the Imperium by Jody Lynn Nye because it was just as funny and entertaining as expected. It was presented as a Jeeves of the spaceways and as with the original I laughed a lot when I read it. Books like that gets me in a good mood.

Next month will be some cover of the networks upfronts for Fall and the upcoming Summer season. I would also like to review one or two season finales.

Thank you all for a fantastic April! And join me in May.
