Cybermage’s Monthly Journal August 2011

Welcome to Cybermage and this look at August.

Here at the prequel to my favorite season, light(er) summer entertainment is about to give way for the more complex fare of autumn. The Teen Wolf finale was awesome. The whole series has been a happy surprise since I had dark and not so flattering thoughts about it before it started. Teen Wolf has the potential for many happy returns in the years to come. Good acting, interesting cast and tense entertainment will do that to a show.

Another newcomer this summer, The Nine Lives of Chloe King finale also ended on a high note. That is a show with some Buffy potential if it can overcome some minor flaws and get renewed for another season. What is not to like with a girl with cat-like super-powers and a finale cliffhanger that will make me so angry if they end the show here.

Next month there is an avalanche of premieres (see When is my favorite show coming back?) or check out some of the particulars.

I watched the first Death Valley here the other day. Hilarious show, just what you need to tide over to the dark side of the year.
BTW I am still waiting on the Fall Coloring Scheme to manifest itself in the greenery here but it is not far off. This morning was only 7 degrees (Celsius). One thing I like about Autumn is the temperature and the many colors. How about you? Excited or depressed?

Books Read

I am most happy with learning to know some new to me authors this month like T.C. McCarthy, Anna Sheehan,  Sandra McDonald, Guy Haley, Jo Anderton and Joan Slonczewski. I still have so much to learn and discover, isn’t that great?

16 books read and nine reviews is good in a work month. This is also the first month with over 50.000 visits, I am glad so many people find their way here.
