Welcome to Cybermage and this look at the month of  June.

This month has been interesting. It started with a hailstorm almost blowing us of a mountain top and then I went to my first con. Eurocon was everything I expected and more. I got to meet one of my favorite authors Elizabeth Bear. She is so nice and funny in person and at the sessions she participated in. Ian McDonald was there too, a very friendly and nice guy especially at the bidding party.  I never got to tell him how much  I love his books so I do it here instead. I love Aries Express and Desolation Road.

I am not as well versed in our local Swedish genre scene as I would like to but I think I have a new favorite there. I meet Åsa Schwarz at the con and have since then finished one of her books, it is a marvelous eco fantasy.

I also meet many new fascinating people there some I knew online before but now got faces on. Many thanks to the organizers and participants for the best Con I ever been too! Count on me to show up many more times.

Leviathan Wakes was my best new read this month. It is an fast paced space opera with coming-of-age, mafia conspiracies and much much more. All the Windwracked Stars and Fleet of Worlds where quite good too. I was a bit disappointed by The Book of Transformations and the new Lost Fleet series. Dreadnaught was just more of the same which was a bit disappointing.

Next month I am on holiday so I plan on reading a lot and maybe writing here a bit more than lately. There are some great books coming next month and my back log needs trimming.
