Eureka 4.03 – All the Rage (Review)

Last Week

Our involuntary time travelers plus one Trevor Grant returned to a changed Eureka where Fargo is boss over GD; Jo Lupo is chief of security at said GD; Henry is married; Carter has a robot as deputy and is about to move in with Tess. But otherwise it is the same with runaway science project, a giant robot ant with lasers runs amok on main street.

This Week

Carter is not exactly peachy about Tess moving in. Fargo find it hard being the boss of GD, he discovers that everyone is afraid of him and also a little bit angry which will have repercussions later. Wil Wheaton guest stars as Dr. Isaac Parrish whose project on nonlethal weapons causes a full scale zombie outbreak which soon turns into something that reminds me of a computer game I used to play with flickering lights and terminals and enraged zombies but the name evades my memory for now.

For some reason Carter, Tess and Alison are unaffected and has to sort it all out with the enraged versions of Fargo and Jo. It is all quite entertaining when Jo captures Zane and when Fargo with the help of Alison’t theater whispers tries to cool things down.

They resolve the situation eventually but not before Tess picks up on the changed situation. In the end Carter breaks up with Tess and she I assume moves to Australia.

Henry and Trevor is unaware of the situation in GD while they poke around on the bridge device. They become alarmed when their tools start to disintegrate. It turns out that it is a practical joke by Henry’s wife to give him new tools. It is not really right to talk about unrealistic when it comes to Eureka but that part felt more or less like an unnecessary filler for me.

This was kind of entertaining but not one of my favorites, I expected more concerning the situation they are in.

Eureka 3.04 – The Story of O2 (Syfy)
As Eureka celebrates Space Week, Dr. Ramsey unveils his cutting edge invention that could allow colonization of Mars. Unfortunately, a slight malfunction may cause it to incinerate Eureka before the dream is realized. Equally bad is that Eureka’s go-to guy for crisis intervention has just gone to Boston to visit his daughter at Harvard.
