Forthcoming SF&F Books 2012-2016

These are the upcoming books I would like to read and review

It is also my teaser page of things to come. The further away a release is the less certain is the information, covers can change from week to week and delays are common. This is also a collection of data from public sources that can contain errors or old information. So you can’t trust this calendar like it is written in stone.

Hi, I’m having difficulty searching for a past book I have read but I can’t remember the title for the life of me. Can you help me? I’d prefer to elaborate on the storyline if you could look into it.

  • i am game, but I make no promises.

  • Kris

    Thanks, man!

Here is the thing, it’s almost a two part series(same universe). In the first part the protagonist finds himself surviving an assassination attempt, he tries to uncover it with the help of his alien friend. This story is set in a future where space travel is possible. Towards the end he finds that there is a plot to cause a star to go nova. There is a research station near the star and this particular star is unique that it is sentient, but when they find it out it’s to late and the star sort of goes nova with the hero, the assassin, and the alien left in the station, but leaves some kind of worm hole behind. All of them fuse together (sentient mash up) and stop the star from going full nova.

In the second part, the plot is about a travelling colony ship in the wormhole who encounter bat like aliens who can pass through the ship even while it’s moving and kill the passengers. A girl is able to communicate with them and saves them. The only common character is the robot on the ship and the sentient mash from the previous title.

This is all that I can remember. I hope it’s enough!!

  • Hi, I am sorry but the only sentient star that comes to mind is in Frank Herbert’s Whipping Star.Great book by the way.
