Monthly Journal October 2010

October has been a good month for reading. It has been a long time since I truly enjoyed reading so much, the books have all been fantastic and captivating. I started reading Karl Schroeder’s Virga books, they are amazing and I will tell you so in my reviews as soon as I finished Pirate Sun. Another talented writer is Hannu Rajaniemi a quantum physicist from the land of the thousands lakes. The Quantum Thief is one of the best books I read this year, the sher amount of ideas one can put in a story and still keep it elegant and enjoyable is impressive to say the least in a debut novel. Seed and Hunger Games was an entertaining dive into YA of today and I ended the month with one of my picks for 2010 – Mike Shepherd’s eight Kris Longknife novel Redoubtable. Kris’ sassy sentient computer Nelly has children!

In real life I struggled with renovating the kitchen and loads of new projects at work. Good to workout a bit.

Statistics are slightly up again this month 21,442 unique visitors (20,770 in September and 22,568 in August). UK and Germany is significantly up too which makes me happy.
