New & Returning TV this Week (August 16-22)

Last week in television

Many of the genre summer show have past the half season marker and the action and suspense are reaching new heights. Haven on Syfy has finally clicked for me, if you are not watching you should. The Gates and True Blood are among the best we have on TV at the moment.

I have started to look at the upcoming Fall season. This weeks post is about Lost Girl a new sexy supernatural drama that premieres September 5. The Event was my first post out but you can count on posts about all new genre shows or seasons.

Development wise I added Syfy channels development slate, a new Zombies vs. Vampires script from NBC and some new casting to SFF Pilot Watch.

I keep When is my favorite show coming back? updated with premieres and finales for all my favorite shows.

I was a little short on time so there is no Female Protagonists on SciFi TV this week, sorry. There will be next week.

Episodes reviewed this week

The Gates should also have been there but things got a bit hectic. It was a game changing episode for the Gates plus there was a poolside party with all the hot cast in swimsuits. I probably have to write a review of it soon.

I enjoy the new Covert Affairs very much, and hoped it would at least have some csi-level science fiction so that I could continue blogging about it with good conscience. It is a good new series I am going to continue watching every week, but it isn’t genre. So you will probably not see any more reviews of Auggie and Annie here.
