New & Returning TV this Week (July 5-11)

I am happy we start to see some genre shows now Syfy is really delivering some summer fun. Four days with decent watching this week three out of seven that are voids (I watch Burn Notice on Thursdays).

Haven is a new horror/supernatural show built on a story by Stephen King! It might be to dark and scary for me but it is likely to be good as it has ties to The Dead Zone. Read about Haven.

Warehouse 13 and Eureka returns with new seasons, seems Syfy starts housing on Tuesdays now, no one could be happier than I if we could spread the entertainment a bit more. Read and watch videos of the new season for Warehouse 13 and Eureka. I have a good feeling, it will be fun and entertaining.

True Blood and The Gates returns on Sunday after their July 4th holiday videos after the break.

TV blogging last week

There was not much genre related TV on last week. Futurama was great with it’s ‘Killer app’ episode.

Tuesday, July 6

Warehouse 13 2.01 – Time Will Tell – Season Two Premiere (Syfy). In the season two premiere, we pick up right where we left off. MacPherson has blown Artie to smithereens, and disappeared. Is Leena really a traitor? Where has Claudia gone? How will Pete, Myka and the Warehouse fare without Artie? What other havoc did MacPherson wreak when he was alone in the Warehouse? And is there yet a new villain on the horizon?

Pretty Little Liars 1.05 – Reality Bites Me (ABC). Trying to ignore “A” backfired for the girls, and now they must pay the penalty. Whether it’s a family in crisis, parental praise for an undeserved honor looming over their heads or wearing totally unfashionable scrubs while working off a debt – the girls must deal with it all. And on top of that, “A’s” lipstick message is still haunting them. Meanwhile the girls must also deal with typical teenage drama – the boy kind – when a new boy arrives and pushes the status quo, a secret love is tested, a new romance blooms and an old romance is floating in the grey area.

Hawthorne 2.03 – Road Narrows (ABC).

Memphis Beat Love Me Tender (TNT).

Thursday, July 8

Futurama 6.04 – Proposition Infinity (Comedy Central).

Rookie Blue 1.03 – Fite Nite (ABC). While other rookies get ready to duke it out at the police department’s annual “Fite Nite” charity event, Andy wrestles with a dilemma of her own: Should she keep a promise to protect a domestic abuse victim who has been repeatedly let down by the system – even if it means breaking police protocol to do the right thing?

Friday, July 9

Eureka 4.01 – Founder’s Day – Season Four Premiere (Syfy). As Season Four begins, Carter and friends are mysteriously transported to a dangerous military installation. Getting home seems impossible, but whether they escape or not, their journey will have life-altering repercussions.

Haven 1.01 – Welcome to Haven – Series Premiere (Syfy). When FBI Agent Audrey Parker is called to Haven, Maine on a routine case, she finds her assignment has been killed in unexplainable fashion. When strange weather phenomena begin to strike the town – and Audrey – she begins to suspect that not everything is as it seems in Haven. As the weather events grow more destructive, Audrey discovers that someone in town might be more connected to the incidents than she could possibly imagine.

True Blood 3.04 – 9 Crimes (HBO). Sookie joins Alcide at a raucous engagement party for his former fiancée, Debbie Pelt; Eric is given a deadline to locate Bill; Andy gets a promotion and draws Jason’s attention; Franklin takes Tara on a road trip; Arlene is irked by Jessica’s arrival at Merlotte’s; Sam brokers a deal with Tommy and his parents; Bill “procures” dinner for Russell and Lorena. This episode introduces Debbie Pelt, Janice Herveaux and Felton Norris.

The Gates 1.03 – Breach (ABC). There’s been a robbery at the McCallisters’, setting off a series of similar mysterious robberies around town. Meanwhile Brett does his best to get his relationship back on track with Andie, though she still finds herself drawn to Charlie; Lukas encourages Brett to join the pack and blow off a little steam; Leigh is not herself when she loses an important package, and possibly her connection with Marcus; and Claire reunites with an old friend who questions her transformation to a humble housewife.

The Glades 1.01 – Series premiere (A&E).

Leverage 3.04 – Double Blind Job.
