You all know what happens when the hero’s girlfriend gets killed by the bad guy. He goes on a rampage of revenge and nails the bad guy no matter how many government agencies want to keep him alive because he knows tings, Right?

That is exactly what happens in Malice. The bad guy is especially deserving. He has been foul since we first saw him. It is Simeon, the Lucian alliance patriot who realizes that Ginn, Eli’s new love interest is spilling secret to Homeworld Security. Rush’s new found love Interest Amanda Perry is in Ginn’s body at the time Simeon kills her.

Rush is the one that finds Ginn’s lifeless body. Simeon goes on a killing spree killing guards left to right and arming himself before he escapes through the gate.

Young is doing a good job in this episode, he chats convincingly with the boffins on the bridge and he acts like a leader. I like that.

It is emotional when TJ closes Ginn’s eyes with finality. Eli is shocked but he is trying not to show it. Eli is probably the guy most of us identify with and root for. He was finally getting lucky after being the third wheel for so long, it is sad but it is also good television. He will come out of this different, the question is how. Don’t get me wrong I love Ginn.

While they search for Simeon they learn Amanda is dead on earth too but they also learn that Simeon has information on the attack planed on Earth. That gets Rush out of the room he goes after Simeon.

Simeon took a hostage and booby trapped her at the gate hoping to catch the whole pursuit force in one blow but Rush beats them to it and radios back stopping them from entering while disabling the proximity fuse of the mine. It will still explode but it gives him time to throw it away. The explosion was significant but the slow-motion effect was a little much.

Rush goes after him with a kino. But they keep getting ambushed, he even lures Lt Boobs into a trap, she survives but not all of her squad is so lucky. The man hunt take time so they have to do something about the jump clock back at the ship.

Eli tries to stall the clock but they have nine hours to do what Rush has not succeeded to do in six months. Chloe was only in briefly but her blueberry powers, which she doesn’t seem to have full control over whatever she says managed to reprogram Destiny’s course so they could jump back. Wonder what that means. Are we going back to the Blueberries now? Their absence is starting to get old. Chloe tries to talk to Eli. Eli is losing it and wants to go after Eli with a gun but Young manages to convince him to stay.

Scott and Rush have a very mature conversation, a lot of good talks that shows progress this episode. Interesting that the first thing Rush does is lie about that he found a way to track Simeon.

In the end Rush goes after Simeon alone, after Greer gets wounded and Scott takes him back to the gate, since time is running out.

The way it all works out in the end is pure Rush. Rush has to live with a lot. And now he has to add the choice he made today. The consequences for humanity might be huge.

Good story and damn good television.

Next week is when the Destiny gets its shuttle back, and some old friends come and visit. I can’t wait, only two more episodes before the hiatus now? It looks more and more likely that it will be some cliffhanger involving Chloe and the Blueberries but I could be wrong.

It is hard not to get a bit excited about this week’s Chuck. His mommy trashed his Intersect and now he has to find a way to get it working again. The agency calls in a gang of boffins that try to ‘lift the rock that blocks him from using the Intersect’.  The Ninjas was a nice touch.

I didn’t enjoy that part as much as I enjoyed Jefster getting creepy with the latest Greta (Summer Glau). OMG she is hot! She played a CIA assassin assigned to the Buy More and Jefster is outclassed on so many levels it is hard to know where to begin. Morgan is caught in the middle. Entertaining, Summer Glau played a different kind of creepy, of the more deadly kind. Operation Get-A-Greta involves the whole civilian staff and ends in an interrupted cage-match between Greta and Jefster where Case saves the day.

Case is grounded protecting Chuck while Sarah chases Mommy all over the world. “I wake up with my trigger finger twitching” he tells. It is like most of the stuff he does highly entertaining.

Sarah and Chuck got some downtime before he goes after the latest cure, “The Fear of Death”. He and the latest boffin go off to Switzerland and danger.

The episode ends with a cliffhanger.

He might be a bigoted redneck but I feel sorry for him up there on the roof. Handcuffed to a pipe on the roof besieged by zombies is not the way for any man to go.

Rick meets up with his family and they have a nice little reunion before the tension starts to show. He hints about going back for the man they left on the roof. Deryl the man’s equally socially challenged brother is upset to say the least.

Laurie, Rick’s wife is wishing she hadn’t moved on just now, isn’t she. Rick is grateful, but he doesn’t know anything of what happened yet. The thunder storm in the night reflects the inner turmoil of Laurie and Shane.

Rick is going and Laurie tries to stop him. His sense of honor forces him back to the city while Shane and Ricks son goes and tries to catch frogs.

This pisses of the ladies of the camp who ended up the designated washing crew. “The world ended didn’t you get the memo” one of them says.

Laurie tracks down her son and drags him away from Shane. “That is over too, tell that to the frogs.” she tells him. Shane was the one telling Laurie Rick was dead. Laurie displays some righteous anger at that. Shane takes his anger out on the wife beater instead, beating him to almost pulp.

They find the guys sawn off hand next to the handcuffs.

Gory Days, Gory Days!

I like the way this is progressing, the characters are quite human but in an overall positive way. They all had to make hard decisions to survive and they will continue to do so, I am sure. So understandable that they already ordered a second season!

Bo stumbles down the corridor in high heels and in pain while Dyson punch a bag. This episode starts and end darker than before. Bo need sexual healing but Dyson tells her he is busy! This was the last time, for your own good he tells her.

This is the first episode I have seen Kenzi in the same hair throughout it, blond, long and curly. Kenzi’s contribution this week is mainly rooting for team Dyson and saving the world from robot hookers!

Time to pick a team Bo! That what they all want, Light & Dark, Dyson & Lauren. Bo is rather cold this episode, she is rather ruthless and fed up with the whole situation. The whole change feels a bit sudden for me like they missed the episode that pissed her off? I did not like the Bo I saw at the beginning.

She is getting some information from Siegfried, the vamp or short fat and fanged as Kenzi calls him. He leads her to a woman on death row said to have information on Bo’s mother, which she denies when Bo and Kenzi con their way into the prison.

Meanwhile a mean mind controlling Fae kills Siegfried for betraying the Family business.

They also try to kill Bo but she kills her assailant frying her with electricity. Smells like fried bitch!

A big part of this episode is Lauren and Bo’s relationship that goes from interested, to steamy to betrayed in one episode. The Light Fae’s wants to avoid war with the darks so Ash, their leader orders Lauren to distract Bo while the Dark evacuate the dark Fae killer, which of course Bo finds out after having sex with Lauren. “You are in my bed, because he told you to.” “Don’t forget your dog caller.” Bo says harshly handing Lauren’s Light Fae necklace back.

Trick is really going the extra mile for Bo. She gets her own Witchblade. This one is made of unicorn horn and protects the user from mind control among other things. That woman on death row, she was mind controlled to kill her own children. Bo seeks out the real killer while the woman is being executed. She only wanted to live a normal life with a human and they punished her for it.

Bo is about to force the truth out of the guy when Dyson shows up and stops her, letting the guy go. It could be that she was about to kill him and the Dark Fae would not stop at anything to kill her in revenge then. He talks her down. They were only trying to trick you. Nobody knows anything about your mother.

Trick saved the condemned woman covertly. He shows up in the morgue – “We need to talk”.

There is Light and there is Dark and then there is Trick, curious.

I just watched the latest Lost Girl episode and it amuses me that Kenzi always changes hairstyle so many times. I think this is the first time we have seen her blond. Poor Kenzi she is just helping this super chipper real estate woman cleanse a house after a murder suicide as a fake shaman when she picks up an itsy-bitsy little spider in her hand bag. There seems to have been a series of murder suicides in the wake of this spider, something that is tingling in Dyson’s spider sense unbeknownst to the two dear psychotic-to-be roommates. A little bickering over cleanliness can so easily turn into an axe murder as the spider feeds on their angst.

There were many things I liked with this episode, not least the interaction between Bo and Kenzi. Especially comments before they get bitten by the spider. Kenzi is trying to bring her flirt on Pete the pizza delivery boy but he confesses his love for Bo after a glance. I wish I had man slaves to do my bidding! Kenzi say when they ‘fight’ over cleaning. And somewhat later Bo says ‘I am picky not psychotic’. It was a nice touch.

‘Nobody kills my best friend but me’ comes a bit after the fact.

Lauren is stepping out of the background into the light this episode. There is a lot of focus on her and her and Dyson’s dislike for each other. The whole love triangle thing already feels a bit old but I keep telling myself that it’s more to it than that. I am pretty sure by now that Dyson and Trick suspect something significant about Bo something foretold or lost. The question is does Lauren know too? She isn’t totally meek and pure; she can be ruthless as she proves when she sets Bo and Kenzi in quarantine ready to burn their house down. More things are afoot than might be obvious at a glance if I am right.

Next episode might shred some more light on Bo’s past as she comes across someone who might know something about it during a case.

Sarah and Chuck’s mother meet in a gun faceoff! Awesome!

This was a very emotional rollercoaster episode with Chuck’s mom getting in touch again, Jeffster doing the Halloween decorations and Freddy Kreuger (Robert Englund) guest as professor in fear.

The cool tech was a nifty little holographic pad. The next iPad?

Chuck has some mommy issues he eventually starts to deal with only to have her snatched away from a meet with Ellie. And now he has Sarah issues, major issues coming up in that relation next week.

There were also some good lines this episode.

My mom shot me!

Chuck How did you get here? My mom dropped me off.

It is time for this week’s Chuck and Sarah treat. A prison transport has unexpected engine trouble and are diverted to a secure location – the Buy More. Meanwhile Morgan the Manager prepares for game of the year. He is beyond Robert Di Nero, he is Russell Crow serious! And nobody listen to him.

Big Mike returns from soul searching and asks Morgan’s permission to marry Morgan’s mom. He even gives Morgan the ring while he thinks it over.

Chuck prepares for a mission to Monaco, the mission of a lifetime while Sarah freaks out about kids. She kicks the shit out of Casey while interrogating him about his daughter. Then the mission is canned because of the incoming prisoners.

The prisoners are old friends; well maybe old enemies are more correct. Hugo Panzer and Heather Chandler are thrilled to see Chuck and Sarah again. Chuck flashes on Heather and his mother so Sarah and he try a bad cop – silent cop routine on Heather but she keeps unbalancing Sarah.

Meanwhile Hugo Panzer breaks out, goes on a rampage and decks Gretchen and Casey. He is out to kill Heater. Chuck, Sarah and Heather escapes up the ventilation shafts where a merry go round chase commence. It ends with a firefight on the roof.

Heather turns around and tells Chuck about Frost, his mother’s code name.

Morgan faces a riot from angry customers but is saved by Big Mike who forgives him for losing the engagement ring in the chaos.

The ring bounces down the ventilation shaft, down to the Castle where Chuck and Sarah finally have a heart to heart talk about Sarah’s fears for kids and they both agree to take it slow when the ring lands and Chuck picks it up, holds it out, and that is such a cliffhanging ring moment to end with.

It was a wonderful fun episode with just the right mixture of banter, action, and a little drama.

Next week is travel time for Chuck, Sarah, Ellie and Awesome when they go visit a banana republic and its thankful leader and his new to us wife. There was something in the fine print about a coup too.

Last season ended with cliffhangers for most of the cast as the Lucian alliance attacked the Destiny. I don’t know what to make of the season premiere. We are obviously setting things up for the rest of the season but there is no clear threat or objective but the mysterious nebula TJ first dreams about and then sees ahead from the observation deck as Destiny finish the jump that was interrupted by the pulsar.

They killed off one of my favorite actresses, Rhona Mitra as Commander Kiva! That is just wrong, take it back! Oh, well I expected that but it is still sad.

I sort of expected more action from the season premiere but I have seen this kind of thing on other shows and it is not necessary a bad thing. We did get introduced to some possible plot threads. Did you spot any more plots to be resolved this season?

  • The alien(s) who created that solar system might be dead ahead of the Destiny.
  • Here at the edge of the universe reality is what you believe in and that kind of metaphysical mumbo jumbo TJ ‘dreamt about/experienced’ is hopefully not going to be the central theme because I can tell you right now that is about the only thing that could get me to stop watching SGU, that and if they kill Lt James. I was really scared when she was hit by lightning.
  • Chloe’s miraculous healing is another thread. It has already been spoiled in the season trailer that she is going to turn alien in some way.
  • The whole crew getting along arc is getting additional fuel from the new Lucian members. They have at least two more fractions to add to the pot.
  • The ship’s real mission will soon be revealed
  • Rush knows or will soon know about the bridge, this was spoiled by the season trailer.
  • Young drinking and going to a bad place.
  • It’s a huge ship; explore it for god’s sake!

One thing disturbed me a little and that was Wray’s very emotional outburst in the infirmary. She has never been that emotional, not even a hint, quite the opposite in fact. Hopefully some kind of characterization background will come along or it is just random emotions for effect.

Girl Power! The Lucian scientist girl kills their crazy leader I like her already.

I think I have to go back and re watch the episode. Maybe it is me being cranky and suffering from premiere overload. Leading all the premieres of this fall into such a short period as this is; is just insane. I don’t remember it hitting me this hard last year, but then it was more spread out wasn’t it?

Anyway, I am really happy SGU is back. It is the series that comes closest to my reading interest.

Chuck is one of the best shows on TV at the moment. I know there is lots of new shiny shows with complicated characters with angst up to their tonsils but this is some uncomplicated fun.

This week Chuck and Sarah go to fashion week in Milan and I have been promised a catfight between two of the most beautiful babes on TV, so shush. I like the way they always makes the girls reveal themselves in this story. I guess Awesome is the token balance guy.

The long legged model that kills a man right between the eyes is an arms dealer and they are sent there to intercept the smart bullets she stole in France.

“Women have a lot of baggage; you should be happy Walker only have a suitcase” is Casey’s chipper advice to Chuck about Sarah never unpacking.

Sarah’s unpacking is a theme of this episode, Chuck mentions it as they are about to be blown up. It is maybe not the best of last words so he ends up in the doghouse and with a naked model. But their plan to smuggle out the dress brings Chuck a big smile.

Back home Jeffster is back! Morgan discovers a critical flaw with the Buy More cover. Casey and Morgan bring Jeffster in, hilarious. Ops, Morgan let it slip to Casey he is talking to Alex…

And after that save Morgan become the new Store Manager! Wow!

This is how Sarah looks after Chuck says “Marriage, Baby, and children. Maybe we are next.” Sleep on that!

This was another good episode and we are still laying the foundation for the season so I hope for some more action next week when some old friends returns and it looks like my wish is their command if I watch the video.

Looking at the pictures this post is quite naughty, I need to better myself and get a wider selection.

They left us a real cliffhanger at the season finale – Sheldon meet a girl! TBBT used to light up Mondays but this season it moved to Thursdays.

Latest news is that Kaley Cuoco (Penny)  suffered a broken leg and will miss a few episodes. “She’s scheduled to make a full recovery,” says the spokesperson.

I will return with a short review of the program tomorrow.

Leonard and Sheldon are brilliant physicists, the kind of “beautiful minds” that understand how the universe works. But none of that genius helps them interact with people, especially women. All this begins to change when a free-spirited beauty named Penny moves in next door. Sheldon, Leonard’s roommate, is quite content spending his nights playing Klingon Boggle with their socially dysfunctional friends, fellow CalTech scientists Wolowitz and Koothrappali. However, Leonard sees in Penny a whole new universe of possibilities… including love.

4.01 Chuck vs the Anniversary

Excited is such an understatement. Chuck and all his friends are back! Let’s see what the new season has in mind for us.

Chuck asks Morgan for help. But why do they not explore the base first. It is just wrong. It is Destiny all over again. I want to see the underground base now! Okay never mind Sarah is on, what where you talking about? Sarah is going on a mission with Casey that is going to be longer than expected so it is good that they say good bye first.

New secrets! I never saw that one coming (sure). They spend four months running around the world looking for Chuck’s mom burning a lot of money so when they return to LA the bad ass repo man takes their $400 car! What amazes me is that Sarah didn’t notice that Chuck was gone for four months? She had a long mission…

They are after Marco a Russian arms dealer, they trap him but he sets off a portable EMC device blacking out half of the city. When his thugs arrive they leave by skydiving. “Good you packed the shutes”.

Morgan gets a bit creepy and suggests that Chuck should try Sexting with Sarah he even takes some photo and send off to her which will have significance later. The Buy More is back under CIA management. A real hottie meets them and Morgan tries his usual charm but she puts him in his place. Store Manager General Beckman put Chuck in his place. He is back with the CIA weather he wants it or not.

Sarah and Case is back with the EMC device for Chuck to flash on before taking off again afterwards. Sarah takes Chuck aside to ask about the picture he was sending. He explain but later on the plane she starts to think about sexting him. I don’t mind at all, she is pleasing to the eyes.

Unfortunately Casey comes back and they get gassed and taken to Moscow by Marco. As if meant to they arrive in Mosco at the same time Morgan and Chuck lands. They were following a lead from a menu to an arms dealer in Russia. This is when it gets even more fun with sexting. Sarah is tied to the chair and sends Chuck pictures with her messages and Morgan things she is sexting Chuck. SOS means skin on skin, yes.

It is not until she sends the facility and the room number that Morgan understands that they are in trouble and tell Chuck who is downloading the files about his mother. They go to the rescue in the usual Bartowski way.

It is amusing when Marco comes back and looks happy when he stops her form texting more. It is not you we are after, is those two master spies that has started to come to close the last four months. And then he starts to show them photos of Chuck and Morgan traveling the world! Sarah and Casey have interesting facial expressions.

Chuck saves them but not before he has to use an EMC bomb that destroys the files he had been downloading. The getaway bus was a sweet touch. Happy Anniversary, Honey!

Back home the gang gather in the underground base and promise to help Chuck find his mother. He is going back to work for the CIA, which he sets out to tell Ellie but she is so happy as she tells him she is pregnant that he can’t tell her. So there is going to be some lying to your family this season anyway.

Linda Hamilton gets to finish this episode and everybody that knows about her family trying to find her. That includes Marco. She is quite agile I must say.

Wonderful season premiere, lots to explore this season. Two new underground bases we get to explore next episode or so and then the epic search for Mom. I expect some forbidden love from Morgan soon to. Remember Casey’s daughter Alex…

Chuck 4.02 – Chuck versus the Suitcase (NBC)

CHUCK AND SARAH TRAVEL TO FASHION WEEK IN MILAN TO RETRIEVE A HIGH-TECH SECRET WEAPON — KAROLINA KURKOVA, LOU FERRIGNO, AND ISAIAH MUSTAFA GUEST STAR — When Chuck (Zachary Levi) and Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) go undercover in Milan, Chuck realizes the “Achilles’ Heel” in their relationship, but must set personal issues aside for the mission. The summer shows start to wrap up their runs or go on hiatus before a winter season. That time is getting near for Warehouse 13 too. The second season finale is next week so things are starting to heat up. H. G. Wells is a woman named Helena G. Wells obsessed with her dead daughter and time travel and now made a member of the Warehouse team. For some reason Artie is dead set against her and I must admit I don’t fully trust her either. She did talk about a plan there at the start of the season.

This week we learn more about the mysterious Mrs. Frederic as she falls ill as someone activates Warehouse 2. It was thought to have been lost when the Romans conquered Alexandria. Is this a break with the mythos? I thought Warehouse 1 was the famous Library of Alexandria? Anyway, some American youths on a dig in Peru suddenly turn up mummified in Egypt tipping off the team on where to look.

The start of this episode had a lot of the snappy dialog. Pete is especially intrigues when H.G shoots off “Many of my lovers where men” when he asked advice on Kelly from Myka, Claudia and H. G. But there is no follow up on that issue. Pete will find out his true feelings for Kelly later. I feels sorry for Pete.

H. G., Pete and Myka go off to Egypt to reset the Warehouse before it kills Mrs. Frederic. They are guided by Benedict Valda who is the Regents’ expert on Warehouse 2. Then follows an entertaining Indiana Jones like sequence as they have to pass three traps one for mind, body and soul respectively.

This whole episode is a fight against the clock. Artie disappears without any explanation but he was obviously on to something making him excited. So Claudia is alone with Mrs F and Dr Vanessa Calder when she learn her destiny within the Warehouse. This time she is saved by the bell but she is rattled to the core. I would also like to point out she looks gorgeous in leather and much more mature than previously.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention that Helena researched how the archeologist of today dress before going to Egypt. Myka tells her that is just how Americam film makers think they dress. I don’t mind, I really don’t.

In the end Myka and Pete plug the keyhole to reset the Warehouse freeing Mrs F from her connection to number two. Mr Valda had to sacrifice himself to one of the traps and Helena wants them to see this before she shoots them down with green lightening. Scene and end.

I liked this episode. It had good action, snappy dialog, revealed some interesting Warehouse secrets and best of all showed a lot of character development with Claudia who is my favorite character on the show.

Next episode is the season finale called Reset. It will air on Tuesday 21st.

The team tries to track down their rogue member, and discover the artifact they have is unexpectedly powerful. Meanwhile, Claudia wonders about her future with the Warehouse team and Pete must choose between Kelly and the mission.

Last Week

Eric got arrested by the Authority and Russell ripped the spine out of a TV anchorman in revenge. He is now the most hunted man in America. Sookie and Bill had a speed-hiatus, Sam almost killed Norris and Franklin Mott died shot by Jason, may his Jelly rest in a small handmade hole in the ground.

This Week

There was a lot of rat to smell this episode that I hardly know where to begin. I admire the way the True Blood team switch characters around from bad to good and uncertain while keeping it all coherent and plausible. Eric Northman is a formidable Yo-yo in that respect and now Sam entered the spin too. Who could have imagines his dark past as a betrayed cat, sorry dog burglar.

Jesus and Lala were also spinning, spinning on V and going all ‘Wizard’s Apprentice’ on us doing a ‘Christmas Past’ with them visiting all their voodoo grandparents and giggling, especially giggling. That is together with Holly the nosy wiccan witch a good setup for next season that is going to be about witches according to the spoiler fairies.

Any episode with Jessica in it is a good episode and here she is tossing dogs around and feeding Hoyt her blood so it is all good folks. It was hard to see Hoyt turn down Summer’s seduction though, not!

Bill and Sookie’s actors might have gotten married in real life but here they have trust issues and Sookie kissed the Northman, just before he threw her into the dungeon. Classy Eric, you got style like no man alive.

Talking about style. Jason and Tara make out and then he tells her he killed Eggs her beloved serial killer boyfriend just after she says “I can count on you”. Another Jason classic of the more sad sort. And then he gets a naked panther in the bedroom. Mama! That’s where we leave him until next episode.

The big bad Russell finds a male prostitute lookalike for Talbot and shows he is a little disconnected from our reality before staking the poor guy. “It was good that we got to say good bye Talbot.” and end.

I wonder how they are going to wrap all this up in two episodes.

Last Week

It all started with Jo Lupo nude in the shower. In Momstrosity the guys went camping but left Henry home to tell his wife the truth about them being from an alternative timeline. Carter and Grant had a fight about Alison until the attack of the robotic Ant but the poor huge thing was only looking for Emo. Review recap here.

This Week

Zoe is back in town walking with her dad and did I just see her giving Zane the look? She looks grown up, more of a young woman than before. Alison is at the cafe with Grant and the baby when Zoe and Jack walk in. Carter is obviously disturbed and when Jo Lupo joins them the friendly banter about relationships reaches new heights. Zoe and Jo are planning a spa date later, wonder if Zane is going to come up? Zoe tells she met this Funny, Smart and Hot guy. He is a little older is such a giveaway.

Carter finally asks Alison out, but she might have gotten another impression.

Why did it take me four years to do that? (Carter)

Your house is getting more action than either of us (Jo Lupo)

Construction of Jo’s new house has been put to a halt by a guy named Derek who has found fossils on the site. This might be more interesting than I thought. Zoe seems to know this guy; maybe I am wrong about the target of her affection. Carter immediately picks up on it. “Derek?” “He is a genius”. We all follow Jo there in anticipation of her setting him straight, but he is already struck to a Flash-Crete wall, maybe with some help by the contractor pushing him there. It is for moments like this I watch Eureka, that and the funny dialog.

Let’s get Indiana Jones here out of the wall. Do you have a chisel? (Carter)

Jo-Jo seems more upset with the state of her unbuilt house, the one with the Dojo and the fire range in the basement. She is such a special lady our Jo-Jo. Is this the day of the love triangles? Zoe jumps on Derek’s new find. “I would love to see it”. Lupo is interrupted by a 911 from Fargo and has to leave. Someone has been snooping around Trevor Grant’s false file. Fargo seems close to panic.

We violated time travel protocols. They are going to lock us up as lab rats. Forever. (Fargo)

They decide they need to hack the system to find out its source. “But that would be like trying to hack the Matrix”, says Fargo. “We need ‘the One’, Jo replies and leaves. Meanwhile back home Zoe is planning an outing with Derek after Jo canceled their spa date.

Do you really want to hang with Mr ‘I found a pinky’? (Carter)

But Zoe forgot her bag at the dig site and Jack drives her there and they find Derek turned to stone. That is the mystery of  the week. Carter’s date with Alison doesn’t turn out the way he expected. Zoe goes back to the dig to finish with the find, because that’s what he would have wanted. As I suspected Alison didn’t expect a real date with Carter, but then they find heartbeat from the statue.

Henry is having a date with Grace but it turns out it is the same date his alt had with her. He needs to come up with something original.

All of a sudden a crazy selling spa lady appears in GD and my first thought is, is she behind the flash-crete? The dissolvent doesn’t work on Derek; instead the stone casing is getting stronger. Alison decides to have a go with a laser cutter but discovers the skin IS concrete.

The One is Zane of course. He is his usual obnoxious self. He even has the audacity to challenge them to a bit of blackmail before he helps them. Fargo pays up but Jo-Jo is appalled.

Carter ends up in a warehouse where he finds a few more living statues. Doctor Zimer (the contractor) has also been turned into stone in the jail. Back at GD creepy spa lady is there, she must have caused this somehow. Carter goes after Derek instead. But he might be right and I wrong. He finds a dead rat in Derek’s lab and accidentally drops it into a vat and it turns to stone in seconds. Zoe is disappointed. The fossil in found in Lupo’s ground was falsified. Wonder why he did that? Guess what? Jack feels sorry for Zoe and pays for a spa treatment for her.

Alison and Carter finally have a little talk about the kiss and she has a point there, she behaved like nothing happened. Alison need the compound causing the petrification and Carter goes looking. He meets Henry at the dig site with Carter. He asks Carter for dating advice! “You should ask the one you are most unlikely to ask about dating advice”. Awkward silent, “I am”.

Grace and Zoe is at the spa together and they talk about guys. Grace gets one or two inputs about Henry and it is quite obvious now that Zoe is talking about Zane.

Zane hacks the master system and discovers the IRS are the ones doing the checking. Because Larry filed  dependents on his registration form instead of one.  Later Larry delivers a care package to Grant and behaves in a rather peculiar way. Is he trying to start a bromance? The package contains a bottle of wine Grants favorite wine dated 1947 and a note asking for a meeting.

After a steam bath at the spa Zoe returns, chat up Zane but are interrupted by Carter only to discover that her hand has turned to stone. Alison succeeds in slowing the process.

Meanwhile Zane goes to Jo with suspicions about Grants. He is convinced Grant’s file is a fake. Joe brushes him off. I am sure that is a bad move, he doesn’t look like a guy that would give up.

Carter finally figures out Zoe were okay when Alison checked her before so she must have come into contact with the agent afterwards at the Spa. Said and done, they steam bath them with the antigen and saves all the afflicted, Derek included.

We are not garden stationeries any more (Zoe)

Zane visits Zoe and Jo Lupo walks in. I think I am going to be sick. Poor Lupo.

Her new guy is my old guy? (Lupo)

Henry surprises Grace with a disco session at GD’s reception with Fargo as the DJ. That was more than a little weird but a happy moment.

In a quiet part of GD Carter asks Alison about the date thing and they talk, and it looks like they are breaking up before it even started but then Carter turns back and finally, after four years Alison and Jack kisses and then some. I am happy for them but don’t expect it to be smooth traveling from now on. Check out next week’s episode, it is about ex partners.

Trevor meets with the mystery contact from IRS and it is Beverly Barlow the daughter of one of his old coworkers.

Chloe is one of the more controversial characters on Stargate Universe (SGU) and that’s one of the reasons I chose her to represent first. There are one or two more females there I would like to follow up with later. TJ is a given but I am still figuring out if I should include Wray and Lt James, what do you think?

Back to Chloe. She is the daughter of Senator Armstrong and she came aboard the Destiny as his political aide and he dies in episode one saving Destiny. One of the things some fans have complained about is that she is whinny, don’t contribute much, strings Elli along and doing obvious stupid things like “hostile aliens drill a hole, lets go there and look up”.

Some even goes as long as saying they want her dead.

But they forgot that the writers makes the characters play the story they write. I understand why Syfy renewed SGU for a second season so early. No one would have dared take the risks they did to build characters in a realistic way unless they knew they had the time to follow through. The only other way I see would be to start the series one year into the voyage and use flashbacks to what happened before. Chloe father is dead, they are all trapped in a wast unknown traveling toward an equally unknown destiny on a ship they have no control over and it is obviously failing. She is sad, scared and lonely. And Elyse Levesque does a good job at portraying that.

In my opinion the one thing the writers missed with Chloe was to make her so passive the whole season. I would like to see a little more female empowerment in general on SGU but especially with Chloe. She used to be the one pushing the IKAROS project for her father. I enjoy seeing her doing things, taking part, making things happen and going places.

Those alien mind reading machines she was connected to gave her some knowledge or power I also would like to see more of. One thing at least some of us did was enjoying seeing more of Chloe. She was the first one on Destiny to use the showers Elli found. And she made him keep watch outside while she did.

And Elli handed her a light when the power went down.

During the crews time down on that forest planet she wet herself in the lake. that must have been cold.

I really enjoyed that episode they seemed to have fun down there. Some even thought about staying, TJ was one of them and I though she and Chloe had a good report there. The whole crew had fun for the first time I think.

The characters on SGU are not uncomplicated whitehats or blackhats and Chloe is no exception. I was disturbed when she took the civilians’ side when Wray and Rush staged a coup, against Elli and her boyfriend Scott. She can be strong and determined. In a way I can understand it with Scott because he seems to be a player that so far hasn’t showed any deeper feelings for any of his lady friends. He does care about his kid though. I think many of us were fooled to expect the nerd (Elli) to get the girl and not the jock (Scott) because that’s almost a rule in this kind of show. I have to admitt Chloe and Scott look good together.

Beside her relationship with Matthew Scott and her friendship with Elli she also have time for yoga.

And relaxing with the crew.

I love SGU and I would like to see more team and less brooding and noir. Please let the Lucian intrusion fuse the original crew more together in season two and let them have some fun now and then, like here.

Elyse can play on a wide range.

And she is eager to find a place for herself among the crew.

In the Season finale Chloe was shot in the leg during her escape from the Lucian Alliance attack on the ship, but is stranded in a compartment with thin air and severe blood loss.

But fear not, the spoiler faeries tell me she is cast for a full season two.

Elyse Levesque

Elyse Levesque has been acting since an early age when she became part of the repertory company for the acclaimed children’s television series The Incredible Story Studio. In addition, she did commercial work and a number of small roles in television projects as well as a two-year stint playing the villainous Dr. Maxine Rich on the futuristic children’s series 2030 CE.

In 2003, Levesque moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, to focus full time on an acting career. She enrolled in acting classes and has since landed a number of parts in both film and television. She has taken on diverse roles ranging from Virginia (Cissy) Poe, the ailing wife of Edgar Alan Poe, in the Masters of Horror episode “The Black Cat,” to a flame wielding bog witch in Flash Gordon. Levesque has also made guest appearances in Smallville and Men in Trees, in addition to playing lead dramatic roles in television movies and independent films. Happy news this morning. With still a few episodes to run on this fourth game changing season Syfy renews Eureka for a fifth season. I understand them perfectly. The current season has had great numbers (for Syfy) and the new time-changing storyline has revitalized the show.

Chuck returns September 20 with a shiny new season. I have missed them all but especially Chuck and Sarah, Casey and Morgan so I start a little early with what we know so far.

You should not be reading this if you don’t like spoilers by the way.

Last season Chuck finally got together with Sarah (Hurray) which only increased my enjoyment even if Agent Shaw slipped in there between them in the beginning of the season before he turned to the dark side and joined the Ring. This season the writers promised not to put anyone between the two. “Fandom has showed it’s a bad idea”. That is not to say there wont be ups and downs in their relationship.

It was also the season when Morgan learned the truth, that Chuck was a spy. That episode when Chuck told him when they sat there bound together in the Dojo of the Castle (their secret lair underneath the Buy More) is one of the best Chuck moments ever. He is now in training under Casey’s gentle guidance. Casey and Morgan was absolutely fantastic together in season 3 so expect sparkles here.

But it didn’t stop there his sister Ellie also found out in the season finale. There she was in a CIA office in protective custody when her brother sneaks by and takes down her handler. That was pure enjoyment. Ellie is going to be Pregnant according to Ausiello (EW)

Captain Awesome won’t be reviving his short-lived career as international superspy anytime soon. “Last season Awesome realized if there was one place in the world where he wasn’t awesome, it was on spy missions,” notes exec producer Chris Fedak. “He’d like to stay as far away from the spy world as he can.” That’s particularly true now that there’s a mini Awesome on the way. “He is going to be way more into all of the rituals of pregnancy than even Ellie is,” says fellow EP Josh Schwartz of the daddy-to-be.

Is it only I that think of Star Wars when John Casey told his daughter? She was running away from him at the time since he was only a weird man that took her up and carried her out to his car and drove away with her. Then stopped and said “You can trust me”. I would be running too. But she stopped when he cried “I am your Father”. I hear that Casey’s daughter Alexa (Mekenna Melvin) is going to be a recurring star this season but I haven’t seen her name on the cast on any of the first episodes yet. Morgan was clearly interested in her to Casey’s disapproval. That probably means that Morgan will be involved in some bodily harm. Alexa is one person I am thrilled to learn to know better. We haven’t seen so much of her before.

It’s no accident that producers have shown us that Casey’s daughter has some serious combat skills. “It’s a spy show, so I think she’s going to be on some missions,” reports Adam Baldwin, who plays Alex’s proud papa. (tvguide)

I hope you have seen the finale already. The sad thing is that Stephen Bartowski (Scott Bakula), Chuck and Ellie’s father  was shot by agent Shaw but before he died he built a Governor to prevent the Intersect from overloading. Shaw stole it but Chuck took it back before Morgan blew up the Buy More. Jeff and Lester are on the run since they believe they are responsible. Some fans have noticed that Stephen died in close proximity to a Ring base that experimented with cryogenic regeneration. So he might not be dead.

Talking about another undead that might upset some fans. Rumor says that Agent Daniel Shaw might be back. He is loaded with the Intersect too so he might be a real problem for Chuck.

General Beckman is now a Series Regular. Rumor says we will see her legs!

The Buy More was destroyed in the season finale. This season the Buy More is now owned and operated by the CIA, so it has the most badass employees ever — quite a change. Every week there will be a new kickass CIA operative green-shirt working at store with Team Bartowski, recast with someone awesome, but each going under the alias of “Greta,” regardless of whether they’re a man or a woman

I expect Chuck to take up his father’s secret work, whatever that is and to search for his mother. He promised Ellie to stop being a spy after he stopped Shaw so he has to keep it a secret from her and probably even from Sarah at first. Morgan is the first one he is going to involve according to sources inside the show.

You can’t have missed that Chuck is getting a mom Mary Elizabeth Bartowski. The mystery surrounding Chuck’s mom is at the heart of the season, and there are going to be some shocking surprises in the first episode,” previews Fedak. “By the end of the episode we are going to turn everything on its head with regard to who she is.” Linda Hamilton will play Chucks mom. She disappeared from her children’s lives when they were still young. Now she will appear throughout the season, leading Chuck to discover that her life was shrouded in secrets. Chuck 4.01 – Chuck versus the Anniversary (NBC) September 20

It’s a very different season this year in the sense that Chuck’s retired from the CIA and he can’t tell Ellie he’s a spy, but he also has to find his mom, So he has to do it without using the CIA resources, so he finds himself in the season premiere not being able to tell Sarah what he’s up to and not being able to tell Ellie what he’s up to. All he has in the world now is Morgan, which is a terrible, terrible fate for anyone trying to accomplish something in life.

CHUCK BEGINS A SEARCH FOR HIS MOTHER, WHICH HE MUST KEEP A SECRET FROM THE CIA AND HIS SISTER — LINDA HAMILTON GUEST STARS AS MARY BARTOWSKI — DOLPH LUNDGREN, HARRY DEAN STANTON AND OLIVIA MUNN ALSO GUEST STAR — Chuck (Zachary Levi) and Morgan (Joshua Gomez) go on a rogue globe-spanning mission to find Chuck’s mom. Meanwhile, Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) and Casey (Adam Baldwin) follow a trail to Russia as they investigate the mysterious Volkoff Industries and its operative, Marco (guest star Dolph Lundgren). Back at home, Ellie (Sarah Lancaster) delivers big news to her family. Bonita Friedericy also stars.

The premiere will guest star Dolph Lundgren as Marko and Harry Dean Stanton as Harry and Linda Hamilton as Mary Elizabeth Bartowski.

Olivia Munn will play Greta#1  an impossibly cool, smart, and pretty CIA agent who intimidates and schools Chuck and Morgan.

Dolph [will] try and ‘break’ Chuck in Season 4 premiere.” Action star Dolph Lundgren  will be hittin Chuck’s up-coming season. This isn’t the first time the actor has played a role on Chuck. In March’s ‘Chuck vs. the Final Exam,’ rogue FSB agent Anatoli Zevlovski’s alias was Ivan Drago — the name of Lundgren’s Russian boxer in Rocky IV.”

Chuck 4.02 – Chuck versus the Suitcase (NBC)

CHUCK AND SARAH TRAVEL TO FASHION WEEK IN MILAN TO RETRIEVE A HIGH-TECH SECRET WEAPON — KAROLINA KURKOVA, LOU FERRIGNO, AND ISAIAH MUSTAFA GUEST STAR — When Chuck (Zachary Levi) and Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) go undercover in Milan, Chuck realizes the “Achilles’ Heel” in their relationship, but must set personal issues aside for the mission. Meanwhile, Morgan (Joshua Gomez) recognizes a fatal flaw that compromises the new Buy More. Elsewhere, Casey struggles to put down roots in Burbank. Bonita Friedericy, Vik Sahay and Scott Krinsky also star.

Looks like the return of Lester and Jeff? Isaiah Mustafa is Greta#2. This episode will most likely involve a fight scene Yvonne Strahovski was shooting on a catwalk with supermodel Karolina Kurkova (I am guessing it is here since there was a casting call for a dangerous, sexy, and kick-ass supermodel for this episode), and it’s definitely going to rank up there as one of the best girlfights evah on Chuck according to Kristin at E!

Lou Ferrigno, who was painted green to play the jade giant in the ’70s and ’80s series The Incredible Hulk, will play the bodyguard of an evil spy model (ex-Victoria’s Secret Angel Karolina Kurkova).

Chuck 4.03 – Chuck versus the Cubic Z (NBC)

A prison transfer delivers old foes the Buy More, canceling Chuck and Sarah’s romantic mission; Morgan gets a surprise from Big Mike

Chuck 4.04 – Chuck versus the Coup d’Etat (NBC)
Nicole Richie returns as Heather Chandler, Sarah’s high school nemesis (2 years ago, the reunion episode). According to a Chuck insider, a prison transfer goes awry and Heather, ends up being stowed away at Castle (a.k.a. the underground CIA base). But here’s where things get really interesting: We have been told her arrival dovetails with some serious bumps in Chuck and Sarah’s deepening relationship. And you better believe that Ms. Heather will use that rift to her advantage.

Stone Cold Steve Austin’s Hugo Panzer is also making a comeback this episode.

We don’t have a Greta in episode 4,” says exec producer Chris Fedak. Adds fellow EP Josh Schwartz: “The Buy More is not in that episode. Chuck’s away on a mission.”

Armand Assante will be back as Alejandro Goya, the king premier of Costa-Gravas, but this time he’s bringing his woman with him! Yep, look for Mrs. Goya; producers are hoping to find a major name to play the part.

TV Guide has just disclosed that actress Tia Texada will guest star as Hortencia aka Armand Assante’s character’s wife. Coming with a secret, she will be introduced when “Chuck and the gang visit the Premier’s beautiful island in his native Costa Gravas.”

Chuck 4.06 – Chuck versus The Aisle of Terror (NBC)

NBC has tapped the original Freddy Krueger—a.k.a. Robert Englund—to guest star in the Halloween episode. Englund will play Dr Stanley Wheelwright, an evil scientist who can make your waking life a nightmare.

Last Week

Russell and Debbie tries to take Sookie and then when all was lost Russell had to fly like a superman when Eric staked Talbot. Then Sookie and Bill have reunion sex.

This Week

True Blood continues in the same insane tempo as last week.

Eric has just returned when the V-Feds rounds him up for questioning concerning a certain Magistrate who has gone missing. The feds are seriously outfitted and the whole thing reminds a bit about Blade. Eric spills his beans about the whole thing to the Authorities. They put him on ice so they can decide what to do about him and Russell especially now when there is about to be a vote on Vampire Rights.

Russel was not particularly sane to begin with but now he really goes around the bend. He shows up with Talbot in a crystal jar on a roof overlooking Fangtasia. He gets a little upset when he sees the V-Feds ‘protecting’ Fangtasia so he decides to get even with Everyone. As the high representative leaves in her limousine he appears on her television ripping the backbone out of the anchor person. He then has a little talk about vampire superiority before he turns it over to the weather girl. That’s about it.

There is more?

Okay you know Bill and Sookie? They are on again with some steamy sex in the shower and a body to dispose. Sorry I forgot to mention it when I violated you yesterday.

Keeping a file on the woman you love is creepy

But I only wanted to protect you and find out why Eric was so interested in you, Bill replies. Do vampires dream of faeries? Bill does, and he gets a bit hands on on Claudine to but she flashes him right back. Then they talk. Now Bill knows what Sookie is but we don’t get to hear it this week.

And Sookie’s cousin turns up with her son and reveal she got involved with the vampire queen and she is the reason they are interested in Sookie. She told them about Sookie’s ability and now she is afraid her son has it to. Sookie has a short telepatic exchange with the bemused kid before the cousin drags him away to people she knows to protect him.

Lafayette and Jesus are really sweet together, but not much happens except some pda.

Tommy has slight attitude problems but Sam is riding it out (putting it inside). So what if he must go out in the middle of the night and tell his brother to keep the woman he fucks quiet and let the other tenants sleep.

Jessica is in this episode and it seems like she and Hoyt might get back together again. If Tommy could keep out of it.

Tara goes to group therapy and meets Merlot’s newest bartender there, Holly. Holly also comforts Arleene after Tommy was mean to her and there is talk about alternative means of dealing with an unwanted pregnancy. I think Holly is a [witch].[ And btw I think Lafayette also has magical powers]

Jason on the other hand has his hands full with Crystal. Her designated husband is there when he returns home and she has a real twisted way of getting him to attack Jason so she can whack him on the head. They tie him up real well at the roadside before calling the police. The next day when Jason walks in with Crystal in tow at the Police station, a woman is there crying. Her husband was called out last night but was almost killed. If you haven’t realized it before you should realize it now that Crystal’s folks are not ordinary folks. I won’t tell you now what they are, but if you read the books you should know.

Jason and Crystal don’t let that affect them to much what I can see. Crystal gets upset when Jason proudly tells her they are going to raid the place. By then they are in Merlot and Crystal’s daddy walks in and want to drag her ungrateful ass home. Jason tries to intervene but he gets beaten by… Sam who goes almost berserk beating the guy almost to pulp. Everyone in the place gets really quiet. Crystal leaves in the car that takes her daddy to the hospital while Jason stays.

Luckily he did because Mott is back with a wicked dialog and a wish to mourn Tara but Jason makes Vampire-Jello of him. “Shoot me all you want it’s not going to kill me” – BANG – “It will if I use wooden bullets”. Jason we love you.

Excellent episode, can I have another? Now Please!

A reluctant Bill warns Sookie about the dangers she will face. Jesus is intrigued by the mysterious qualities of V. Sam’s recent fit of rage triggers dark memories. Eric takes precautions and fulfills a wish; Arlene turns to Holly for help with a pressing problem; Jason deals with the unexpected, with both Tara and Crystal; Jessica is torn between Tommy and Hoyt. After communing with Talbot, Russell promises to extract vengeance on his enemies.

Last Week

In Digging the Dirt Nick started looking for dirt on Buckley but ended up saving his life. Devon showed the dangers with Internet dating; you can meet a witch that need your eyes as ingredients. Sarah is addicted to Devon’s magic tea that makes her tell Devon all the little dirty secrets and Andie choose Brett because he is different to.

The most interesting thing is that Karen and Clair (Were & Vamp) joined together to warn Sarah about Devon’s tea.

This Week

My first reaction to Dog Eat Dog is if the title gives away the ending? Let’s see.

We start with a meeting of the home owners association after a “what has been going on before”. Sarah warns Nick that functions like this gets clicky in the Gates (If only she knew).

Like High School but with money (Sarah)

A fist fight breaks out between Mr Were (Lukas dad Simon) who has his sprinklers on in the morning and Mr Vamp who has his sunscreen on when he goes to work. Tell me kids what are you really fighting about? There is bad Blood between those two. Bad blood? Nick is confused and looks at Dylan. “He is not one of us” . Nick doesn’t know about the werewolves yet, this is going to be fun. Evil of Dylan not to tell him, but I guess that is male bonding for you.

Simon is a real bully. He refuses to back down and is awful with his family. His son Lukas is a hothead to while his mother is meek (signs of abuse in the family?). That made me think.

Sarah is hot and sexy when she is jogging; I just wanted to pass that along. She also spots Simon lying like he crash landed among the sprinklers. He is still alive but looks a bit mangled so she calls for an ambulance. Nick visits Simon at the hospital but he has not come around yet. His wife makes it clear that it is Mr. Vamp who did it. She is backed up by the Coach who is there to.

In another part of the Gates Peggy is having flower trouble, Devon it cultivating ‘Devil’s Weed’  used for the darkest of dark magic. Peg warns Devon to get rid of it. It doesn’t look like Devon agrees. I foresee a battle of wills and maybe more here. It gets better, Devon had a visitor back there Peg’s daughter Mia, there to learn about magic since her mother refused to teach her. More blackmail material for Devon, this doesn’t look good for Peg.

Dylan is not worried about what happened to Simon when he talks to Clair. “They always fight among themselves”. That’s vampire love for weres.

Mia is clearly interested in Charlie while being best friend with Andie. More teen drama. All the wereteens gather around Lukas. Brett and Lukas have a weird conversation about Brett running by himself and leaving the pack before Lukas leaves. I guess that is about him running by himself.

Nick interviews Mr Vamp about his alibi. He says nobody likes this guy, they were afraid of him. Interesting enough he tip Nick off that Simon hurt the Coach who is supposed to be his best friend. Nick is still a bit intimidated by the whole vampire thing. Apparently Simon beat the Coach unconscious outside the country club once but the Coach never pressed charges.

Clair gets a surprise visit from Christian. He just sits there playing with Emily. Clair is furious and makes him leave. But he threatens to tell Dylan unless she has dinner with him tonight.

Coach explains his fight with Simon as over him taking Simon’s parking space by mistake. Nick is not buying it.

Andie is a bit disturbed by the change in behavior from Brett’s teenpack friends. They started to treat her well now all of a sudden after Brett leaned about her being a succubus. Brett and Andie talk about it and it looks like they are hooking up again. But it worries me that they talk about being careful as a way of protection from their nature. It’s like not using contraceptives, kids.

Nick goes to the hospital when he gets news Simon is about to get better but Simon is not there anymore. His window on the third floor is open and it looks like he left that way. Nick is confused.

Later that night Christian is having a drink all by himself when Clair walks in. She tries to tell him she doesn’t want to be with him. When she walks away he assaults her and starts to feed on her. That wakes up Dylan who rushes out of bed but apparently not all the way.

Meanwhile back at the hospital Nick gets a surveillance video of Simon running across the parking lot. That’s when the spooky music starts.

Charlie tries to find out what he did wrong with Andie. She is in tears when she breaks up with him.

Dylan is waiting up on Claire when she returns home in shame. Dylan is shocked when he learns Christian feed on Clair breaking Dylan’s bond with her. He is devastated when he learns the full truth. He doesn’t look like he will ever forgive Claire but he takes here cellphone and leaves.

Nick and Marcus go looking for clues on the parking lot and they find Simon’s clothes and cellphone.

Mia is worried about Andie so she confronts her about breaking up with Charlie and being so weird. Andie comes clean with her and shows the black veins on her back. She is clearly afraid Mia won’t stay her friend if she knows who she is. I am wondering why Mia doesn’t tell her she is a witch. Mia goes directly home to her mother and gives her grief for not telling her. Peggy claims patient confidentiality but we learn that Andie will die if she doesn’t take those pills. I got a bad feeling about this, I think Mia is going to tell Devon what Andie is. And since Devon collects ingredients from rare creatures I am worried.

Dylan is as I suspected using the cellphone to lure Christian into a dark alley where he jumps Christian and hit him on the head.

Nick finds out Karen helped Simon escape the hospital from the cellphone on the parking lot. Now is when it gets interesting. Nick tries to sneak up to her house where the Coach is lecturing her for helping Simon. Simon has been pursuing her and the whole pack thinks she already slept with him. They hear him as he approaches. Nick is surprised when the Coach drags him through the window also slightly shocked; well maybe a little more than that, those yellow eyes are spooky. After sprawling on the floor with his gun drawn, things calm down when they see he is no vampire. They tell him the truth. We are werewolves. Nick is still a little windy but dare to come up with a new theory “So that’s what this has been about vampires and werewolves.” They explain that with Simon attacked by a vampire, the peace between vampires and werewolves in the Gates is over and not even the humans will be safe.

Nick convinces them to sit down and talk to Dylan. Then they talk about Simon’s family and Nick realizes that Lukas must have been lying about not hearing his father being attacked. The coach had no trouble hearing him through the wall. He is right. Lukas was the one that attacked Simon. We can see that Nick can relate to the story. He will do nothing but there is a problem. Simon was the Alpha and Lukas defeated him. If the rest of the pack knew he would be challenged by them all. Simon has run away. The Coach takes the blame for defeating Simon and protects Lukas. They like Nick because he treats them with respect.

Andie and Brett is hanging out in her bedroom. This time Andie have the talk with Brett before they try to kiss (about safety). But we don’t get to see how it goes.

Dylan didn’t just kill Christian. He has him bound at a tree, facing east I assume. They have to have the talk while Dylan washes all the sunscreen off him. At dawn Dylan drives away and Christian turns crispy. I feel with Dylan as he arrives home. Dylan and Clair are still married but they have a lot to mend.

Nick chill with a beer at the pool when Simon returns with a chilling warning about not trusting the vampires.

Vamps and wolves weren’t meant to live side by side

The day will come, yada, yada. Tell my son I am proud of him. Then he runs away.

This is another great episode. I am most curious about what Devon is up to. Maybe we will learn something next episode. And I can’t wait until Sarah finds out. Until next week.

The Gates 1.09 – Identity Crisis (ABC)
FBI Agent Kat Russo arrives at Nick’s precinct in search of a criminal who may have taken refuge in The Gates. But the deeper Russo digs, the closer she comes to uncovering the community’s dark secrets, and Nick finds he must balance the demands of the Bureau with preserving harmony within The Gates. Elsewhere, Andie’s “hunger” leaves her weaker by the day, and Brett is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her sated; on the rebound from his recent breakup, Charlie finds himself with an unexpected new crush; Behind her mother’s back, Mia seeks Devon’s tutelage in the ways of the Craft; and still reeling from Christian’s betrayal, Dylan and Claire struggle to repair their bond.

I was short on time last week so here comes a much delayed review of a game changing and swimsuit containing episode of the Gates.

Last Week

Nick with the somewhat reluctant help from Dylan solves a murder involving vampires. But he is making plans to leave the Gates. Buckley blackmails him and Dylan with a video of how they dealt with Tess/Amanda.

Sarah discovers discord among the ladies of the Gates during a charity event.

This Week

This episode is a breaking point for the Monohans, Nick knows the truth and Sarah is starting to learn. I wonder if they will talk about it soon. The only clueless are the kids.

Nick is having nightmares about staying in the Gates and is determined to find some dirt on Buckley to even the playing field. He starts to suspect him of murdering his old partner. The usual detective work commences. Nick and Dylan is an interesting pair but I would like to see more of the ladies. When revealed the culprit surprised me.

Vampires and werewolves doesn’t mix it seems, unless it is against Devon. Sarah’s party is a disaster but Karen (of the werewolves) and Claire warn Sarah about drinking Devon’s tea. Sarah throws her tea in the bin only to take it back up and brew some more tea after they left. Now she behaves like an addict. I wonder what more effects the tea has than making you tell Devon the truth and being addictive.

I must say that the ladies is really convincing as bitching housewives and I mean that with respect they are all gorgeous and talented.

Andie is frustrating but I can understand it is hard to find out that you are different as a teenager but now it seems like she is hooking up with Brett again because he is different to (He showed her his werewolf eyes). I feel sorry for Charlie but I doubt that werewolves are immune to to the powers of a succubus.

I have a hard time believing I felt sorry for Devon and now she is sailing up as the villain of the show. At the end of the show she is casting a sinister looking spell involving the eyes of that young werewolf she killed after seducing him. The spell involved if I am not wrong the face mask of Buckley’s new wife Vanessa. We will see next episode.

I am still not sure Buckley is the white knight he proclaims he is. I foresee a number of changes of sympathy for Devon and Buckley before this is over (I might be totally wrong to).

Vanessa is a vampire. I didn’t see that coming. Vanessa’s talk with Nick explains a lot about the Gates. I can’t wait to see what happens next. I think I am starting to see where they are going with the show now and I like it. It definitely has it own flair.

The Gates 1.08 – Dog Eat Dog (ABC)
When Lukas’ father is assaulted and left for dead, Nick must diffuse a potential turf war between Vampires and Werewolves; finding solace in their shared angst, Andie and Brett rekindle their relationship; Mia, upset that Peg won’t teach her the secrets of witchcraft, turns to Devon for tutelage; and Claire reaches a crossroads when Christian threatens to reveal the true nature of their relationship.
