Bo & Kenzi with a Full Season!

Premiere: Sunday, September 4   Order: 22 episodes

Bo our favorite bisexual succubus returns this Fall with a full season order. I love many things with this series but Kenzi is the best sidekick around. I would watch it just to enjoy her antics. Syfy has ordered both season one and two of this series which is great.

Anna Silk who plays Bo has spilled some news of the upcoming season. The misshapen love triangle between Bo-Lauren-Dyson continues. Bo does have two lovers, and you’ll see more about that in Season 2, those relationships get explored further. It’s pretty exciting.

What’s exciting is that Bo will be tested in a new way this season. She will explore her relationships further. She will question her loyalties. I really think that the writers have done an amazing job in taking where we left off in Season 1 and taking it to the next level. Each script is really rich in new creatures and exploring the mythology further, and seeing Bo’s journey along with her makeshift family.

Official Synopsis: Season two will challenge Bo’s resolve to stay free and force her to question her own morals and beliefs. While Bo grows stronger and learns more about who she really is, relationships will be tested and passions will ignite, but answers will not come easily. Through it all, Bo will remain true to herself and loyal to those she trusts as she continues to forge a path of her own in a dangerous world.

Joining the Lost Girl cast this season is Vincent Walsh (Republic of Doyle, Saving Private Ryan) in a recurring role. Notable guest stars include Emmanuelle Vaugier (Two and a Half Men, Covert Affairs, Human Target) who returns as “The Morrigan”, the leader of the Dark Fae and Conrad Coates (Covert Affairs, Tron) who guest stars in episode two.

Synopsis Episode 2.01 – Something Wicked This Fae Comes

The following is hamelessly stolen from Televixim , read a review of the first episode there. It sounds great.

Official Synopsis: In the season opener, a nomadic Fae sideshow comes to town looking to take advantage of the chaos that the bombing of the Light Fae headquarters has wrought. Unbeknownst to the general Light Fae populace, The Ash is in a coma, and his bond with the land is weakening – which makes this the perfect time for the travelling circus freaks to steal the most precious thing the Light Fae possess.

If you haven’t started watching Lost Girl already you are losing out. It is fun, it is witty and it is sexy in a non HBO way.

In this episode Kenzi sets out to make Bo forget all about Dyson banging that barmaid last week. They get pissing drunk and Bo end up having a Faetroi. Then the wife of the troi returns. She is a Fury and she wants a human having an affair with her husband killed. She can’t do it herself since she belongs to the Light. Bo refuses and chooses to protect the human from the Fury with unexpected headless results.

It’s an entertaining dance Bo and Dyson are making, like moth around an energy lamp. The human doctor is just window dressing at the moment.

Kenzi is just brilliant. She is wonderfully funny and talented. The whole cast is but I love Kenzi. This time she fools around with a sword and her rebound treatment is pure Kenzi.

They keep teasing a greater purpose for Bo but they have only four more episodes to show us the money.

Next episode is Zombie time! Bo helps a Fae booker that is getting ripped off by a dead human. The trailer looks great.

“We don’t kill where we shop.”

Kenzi and Bo are making up the rules as they move along. The Fae rumor mill is already sending her clients and she haven’t even started anything yet. Just fixing the old crack shack a bit.

Call me Will is an overweight Will-o-wisp who spreads green fires around him like farts. He lost his treasure and wants Bo to help him find it. Bo agrees to help him for information about her past. He once saw a woman running through the woods with a baby that had the same birthmark as Bo.

I thought we were going to meet the little people, the Wee Fae but he is quite the opposite. Bo is charming but ruthless when she uses her charm to get Dyson to help her. She and Kenzi have a little run in with a shotgun and a few headless Fae killers before they can set things right.

Dyson also takes Bo to a Fae Bar, neutral ground to get a bit of Fae education and to meet Trick the local registrar. I think he was the guy that got the Council to let Bo live. There is some kind of legend or prophesy concerning the one, who Bo might be.

The little taks with Trick was entertaining and he had the whole Hobbit down. “Early Tolkien” – “Where do you think he got it from”.

Bo really doesn’t like being interrupted when she is feeding, but Kenzi saved that woman’s life. Bo is really awesome when she is charged, the dialog is snappy and the story was funny, twisted and a bit thrilling.  Kenzi is a wonderful sidekick.

Bo explores her love interests in this episode with a visit to Dr. Lauren who helps her out on the sly but wants her to join the light side. Bo shows more emotion and seems to have more fun when it comes to Lauren than with Dyson. But that might be just me. She and Dyson do the business of sexual healing.

I am hooked on Lost Girl and I am happy I got some uncomplicated carefree action to watch on Sundays. Good work Showcase.

True Blood continues strong with sexy, fun supernatural action. Here are the crimes I saw.

  1. Stealing – Sam has his hand full with his no-good-stealing-drinking family, but he is a decent guy so he let them stay even after they BBQ a dog on his parking lot and his brother breaks into the bar.
  2. Kidnapping – is only one of the tings  Mott is doing to Tara. She has a thing for bad boys but Mott is over the top and then some, talk about creepy guy. They go and visit the king, but he is out eating with Bill and Lorena.
  3. Blackmail – Jason, Jason when will you ever learn. Blackmailing the new sheriff so you can become a cop?
  4. Dealing V – Lafayette got his new ride but no one to tell; because Tara is tied to a toilet in Sookies house and can’t come to the phone right now. Then he goes to Norris and tries to convince him to sell V only to be roughed up by his cousin-brothers and saved by vicious new buddy Eric. The king is also a dealer but to a more select clientèle – biker werewolves, that’s culture for you.
  5. Treason – is what Bill commits  when he breaks Sookie’s heart and when he tells the king about Eric’s and the Queen’s little drug dealing business
  6. Snitching is what the King does when he tells the Magitrate about Fangtasia.
  7. Framing – But Eric doesn’t snitch he tells it is Bill who is behind it instead, that is not snitching that’s framing.
  8. Mind Control - Jessica gets a job at Sam’s but is recognized. Mind Control is what baby vamp Jessica does to that nice young man from bible study. Pity young Hoyt is watching.
  9. Bloody murder – is what three vampires does to that poor stripper in the back of that limo, dripping blood all over that street. Bill got his old job back, procurer.

There is also a case of branding a skanky bitch but that’s has more to do with Alcide’s ex and the Nazi werewolves.

Said and done

  • It’s a were thing, we run hot. (Alcide to Sookie)
  • Eric has an interesting day dream of Sookie seducing him. Bad Sookie is a nice girl.
  • I kill all your brother-cousins first (Eric)
  • Love is a hell no one get out of alive (stripper to Bill)

I Just finished watching this week’s episode of the Gates. The main event this episode is a series of clever burglaries inside the Gates. Someone has hacked their security system and sets off alarms all over while the real break-ins occur elsewhere.  Nick is hard on the case and shot down all traffic in and out of the Gates in an attempt to catch the culprit trying to leave with the goods. This causes problems for a certain teen pack running in the woods outside the Gates, they can’t get in, but Brett saves the day and leap over the wall and open the entrance from inside. But a camera catches a glimpse of his team jacket and Nick takes him in for questioning. As he is a minor he is accompanied by his mother that thus learns that he is out running. She is not happy and ground him, we learn that both Brett’s father and brother where killed by hunters. The burglar had been pretty clever but Nick figures it out eventually.

Claire continues to crumble on the inside. Can’t her husband Dylan see that she wants to get out and play? Introducing bad boy vampire Christian Harper. They have met before and he really knows the buttons to push on her. She is soon participating in draining a delightful young thing, Christian picked up in a bar. I thought Devon gave her something for the cravings? It is obviously not working. As usual Rhona Mitra steals the show. I can still not really figure out what is going on with the Radcliffs and their child. Claire leaves in the middle of the night after a text from Christian.

Andy continues to have boy trouble, especially after Brett finds out from Lukas that she kissed Charlie. In the end she breaks up with Brett and hooks up with Charlie. So far they only kissed once more, but she is supposed to be dangerous to boys (she is a succubus if you remember). Reckless of her father not to tell her…

Leigh’s home is burglarized and something very important to her is taken something that if she is separated from it for long will kill her or make something worse happen? Fortunately she gets it back but goes after the thief with a silenced gun and shoots him dead. Is she some kind of cleanup crew for the gates or was that something personal?

Great show, lots of open plots points for next week. It looks like Andie is going to find out?

The Gates 1.04 – The Monster Within (ABC). A missing hunter casts unwanted attention on Brett and the pack, creating tension with Coach Ross. Meanwhile Nick and Dylan try to put their differences aside during The Gates Father/Daughter Dance, with mixed results; and Andie and Charlie’s relationship looks like it’s headed for smooth sailing, until an unexpected secret turns everything upside down.
