Weekly Journal September 6-12

I was away to Stockholm this week and bought some books beside the work we did. Three books read but only one and a half review that is below my goal of three. My only excuse is that Way of Kings was so good I had to finish it. I blogg because it is fun to read so sometimes reading has to go first.

Notable posts this week

The fall season has started. This week premiered the remake of Nikita it was surprisingly good, read my review. Vampire Diaries Season 2 and Merlin Season 3 also premiered this week. A review of Merlin is coming up.

Monthly posts

You can read my picks of books for October on Wednesday this week.

Formidable Female Protagonists in Science Fiction

I prefer female protagonists and this series of posts is homage to some of the most formidable female main characters in science fiction novels or series. I am still taking suggestions, there is a list of the ones taken at the Index page. I have read the three first protagonists this week but not recently. This makes it 110 and I still have about three to four posts left.

  1. Sirantha Jax – Jumper (Ann Aguirre)
  2. Clarissa MacDougall – First Lens Woman (E. E. ‘Doc’ Smith)
  3. Elle Arroway – Believer (Carl Sagan)
  4. Jean “Jeanie” Pelham Roker – Collector of Grey Hairs (Charles Sheffield)
  5. Jackal Segura – a Hope (Kelley Eskridge)
