What’s New or Returning on TV This Week (8-14 February 2010)?

We have a promising new series this week built on a series of books written by an author famous for erotic thrillers,  Past Life premieres on Tuesday 9th. It solves crimes with the help of peoples past lifes.

I will fill you in on what I am going to watch this week, lets see.

The shortlist of what’s new and returns is at the end.

  • I am getting  excited with this season of Chuck, it is so good. I wonder how the Hannah situation will play out?
  • The Big Bang Theory, I seldom laugh out loud at something on TV but I can’t avoid it on this nerdy comedy heaven.
  • Where is my Castle? I want Castle! Ohh it’s back, and gone again for a month! Looks like a wonderful episode though.
  • Life Unexpected is a new series I really like (fourth episode now), and it looks like CW might be renewing it for a second season soon. It might be too sweet for you hard core science fiction fans,  deal with it.
  • House, Two and a Half Men, Accidentally on Purpose might slink in.

  • I am a big fan of  NCIS and  they hit the open road this week, I  wonder if Ziba will be driving?
  • The Good Wife this week looks interesting, will her cheating husband get out of jail? One of my favorites among the new shows. Brilliant acting by Julianna Margulies and Archie Panjabi.
  • I will try to squeeze in White Collar, it has style.

This weeks great premiere is Past Life

Looks like an interesting new tv series built on a book by M.J. Rose The Reincarnationist. M.J. Rose is best known as an author of erotic thrillers according to  Publishers Weekly.

There are four main characters:

  • Dr. Kate McGinn (Kelli Giddish) researcher and true believer
  • Price Whatley (Nicholas Bishop) former NYPD now Kate’s partner
  • Dr. Malachi Talmadge (Richard Schiff, The West Wing) her mentor
  • Dr. Rishi Karna (Ravi Patel, Scrubs) is the rookie in the group

Have you ever experienced déjà vu or met someone you thought seemed familiar? Do you believe in karma, fate or love at first sight?

Psychologist Dr. Kate McGinn and her partner, former detective Price Whatley, attempt to help Noah, a teen suffering from regression episodes repressed memories from a past life in which Noah remembers a previous life’s kidnapping and murder. Together with Dr. Malachi Talmadge and Dr. Rishi Karna, McGinn and Whatley work to track down the perpetrator of a crime committed 14 years earlier in the “Pilot”

  • I watch Human Target for the action, it is quite relaxing. Chance protects a female attorney from Organised Crime.
  • Mercy is a strong drama about nurses, especially the kick-ass head nurse that I love.
  • Garry Unmarried is a funny, funny sitcom.
  • Cougar Town is another amusing comedy with bickering characters
  • I might sneak in Leverage. It has been uneven, but some  episodes lately have been good.

  • I keep puting Vampire  Diaries on the pile, but I will watch it soon. It goes on hiatus until March 25.
  • Second episode of new series Past Life is a must
  • Supernatural’s last episode before a six weeks hiatus! What’s wrong with you TV people! why all these long hiatus? This week it’s about love, or not.
  • Burn Notice is another favorite spy action, though quite different from Chuck.
  • I will also try to squeeze in The Mentalist and Archer.

Nothing much to see, I guess I might watch Spartacus. Or catch up with the pile

  • Legend of the Seker is a must.
